INTRODUCTION

The Hornby Club in Christchurch is a vibrant community-focused venue that offers a wide range of recreational and social activities. The club features amenities such as a bar, restaurant, gaming machines, and sports facilities, including bowling and squash courts. It hosts events and entertainment, fostering a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for members of all ages to gather, relax, and enjoy various activities.

CHALLENGES

The lighting needed to enhance the club's aesthetic appeal, complementing its decor with the right colour temperature, fixture style, ambience, and placement. Additionally, the lighting system needed to be long-lasting, sustainable, and easy to maintain, with accessible fixtures to minimise disruptions and maintenance costs.

SOLUTION

The Architect, RM Designs & Electrical Engineer, TM Consultants delivered a contemporary solution through the use of sleek, NZ Made, Energyline fixtures. These provide homogenous, glare-free illumination that enhances both the aesthetics and functionality of the space, from the dining area all the way through to the stairwell and beyond. The modern design of the Energyline luminaires complements the club's contemporary interior, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
